Launch of Digital Rights Management Blockchain Business

Brief

Help a small start-up to raise money via an ICO, to enable them to launch a Digital Rights Management solution, based on distributed hash tables. The aim was to help solve digital piracy issues for artists and creators of digital content.

Background

Having worked at Sony, myself and a few colleagues decided to pursue a dream to set up a company using blockchain tech. We leveraged our network and had a team of advisors from Ernst & Young, PlayStation, Huawei, Fidelity, Paramount Pictures and other relevant companies.

We developed a concept, had a working prototype and were ready to raise capital to start development work, however the decline of the crypto-currency market by 95% in 2018, meant we decided to stop work, rather than pursue the idea.

Team

We had a global cross-functional team of advisors and staff that comprised of:

  • 1 x Product owners (UK)
  • 1 x Sponsor (Thailand)
  • 1 x Front-End Developers (UK)
  • 1 x QA Lead Front-End (UK)
  • 2 x Blockchain Developers (Turkey/Iran)
  • 1 x UX/UI Designer (UK)
  • 1 x Brand Marketing Lead (Thailand)
  • 10 x Advisors/Experts (all across the globe)
