Public Launch of Sony’s Audio Control API

To release Sony’s Audio control API to enable developers and 3rd party partners to use the API to develop apps that could control Sony’s home audio hardware. The ultimate aim was to be able to be integrated into smart hub development, allowing end users to manage their devices as part of their smarthome solution.

Sony wanted to be able to compete with other homeaudio products that were smarthome compatible. Therefore they needed to open up their Audio Control API so that it could integrated with the like of Samsung’s SmartThings. To enable developers to use the API we also created a set of tutorials.
